This activity enables motivated students to do revision on exercises

points towards reading for pleasure.
Thus, the more enjoyable is the L2 materials, the more

Jam drop biscuits recipe Gap-fill exercise
Age of children and level: From 9 to 10 years old, Year 6.
Skills of English they're going to practice: reading and writing.
Authoring tool: JCloze
The fact that I choose a gap-filling exercise to teach ESL students is because students can develop their reading skills on this website through authentic and useful content which is how to cook. I could cover a wide range of topics such as enjoyable and interesting recipes, such as baking cookies, and always aims to be tempting enough for students to redo the exercise. Students should improve their way of reading and using a dictionary.
Moreover, second language learners could develop an ability to guess, based on some form of assumption, then immediately see whether they were right or wrong. Finally, these students of Year 5 can easily get used to working independently and dealing with the task at their own speed.
